L2025_0018 - Castle Street, Llangollen - New Year's Day 2025
A quiet Castle Street at Llangollen around 10:45 on New Year's Day 2025. Usually most weekends and bank holidays this road is very busy but weather warnings and the morning after the night before have probably made it quieter than usual.

Chateau de Roquebrune
Built in the 10th century, it was originally the dungeon of a fortress encompassing the entire village. Panoramic view of Monaco, the sea, Cap Martin and the village.
The medieval castle of Roquebrune is one of the only examples of Carolingian architecture in France. Long in possession of the Grimaldi, the Roquebrunois voted to join France in 1861. Later, Wiiliam Ingram, owner of the place, gave it to the city in 1921.
