Cotswold skies.
On a walk from the village of Great Rollright to Chipping Norton, passing the Rollright Stones. I try to take sky pics to use in any 'sky replacements' I might need but usually end up forgetting as I trudge along.
A tip to the wise...if taking pics to use in sky replacements, don't forget to take some quite ordinary ones that have just a little interest, otherwise they are unusable when replacing a boring sky in dull conditions.

When in adult breeding plumage, this species is one of the easier LBJs to confidently ID. This bird is in full breeding plumage colors. I assess it to be adult. Sparrow IDs are especially challenging when there are mixed flocks that include advanced juveniles. During such periods I find that photography is the surest method of later IDing individual sparrows in this family... you don't have to commit all the subtle field marks to memory for later recall when comparing with the field guide images.

The world's oldest wooden church?
Greensted Church in Essex, England is often claimed to be the world's oldest wooden church, though only some of its original structure remains. The oak walls are believed to date back to the mid-9th or mid-11th century, and may be remnants of a palisade church or early stave church.
Greensted Church is a Grade I listed building and is still in use, holding weekly services. It's located in the village of Greensted, about a mile west of Chipping Ongar town center. The church's full title is The Church of St Andrew, Greensted-juxta-Ongar, but it's more commonly known as Greensted Church.
Chipping Sparrow (Spizella passerina)
Common over much of the continent is the little Chipping Sparrow. Originally a bird of open pine woods and edges, it has adapted well to altered landscapes. It now nests in gardens and parks in many areas, its tame behavior making it well-known and popular.

Autumnal evening approaching. Chipping Campden, Glouceshire
My last quick pound about of a long day that started with a dash around the misty Rollright Stones, a few villages on the way and the main reason for the day out, a visit to Batsford Arboretum. On the way back a few more perfect villages and this, a sublime view which I always have to myself, despite the little town just beyond the church being packed with parked cars that now seem like a rising tide, drowning the beauties of Chipping Campden.
This view can be accessed from a small dirt lay-by on the picturesque B4035
As the main aim of the day was to go to Batsford Arboretum, I never thought to pack my inflatable sheep for foreground interest, but am I allowed to say I really like this photo?!

Chipping Sparrow, Juvenile (Spizella passerina); Santa Fe National Forest, NM, Thompson Ridge [Lou Feltz]
When in adult breeding plumage, this species is one of the easier LBJs to confidently ID. This bird is in near breeding plumage colors. I assess it to be still immature based on its streaky head pattern and mottled breast. Sparrow IDs are especially challenging when there are mixed flocks that include advanced juveniles. During such periods I find that photography is the surest method of later IDing individual sparrows in this family... you don't have to commit all the subtle field marks to memory for later recall when comparing with the field guide images.

Hawkstone Lager
Hawkstone Lager is a lager created by television presenter and farmer Jeremy Clarkson using barley grown at his Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, England. It is brewed by Cotswold Brewing Company.
I really wanted to try it, very expensive at £8.50 for 4 small bottles, fortunately my Waitrose discount came in handy! Very nice and very drinkable, I tried the Cider too, OK, but nothing to write home about!
