Gail
‘Intertwining’ a theme that can look very kitsch and tacky but with a little care and forethought one can create rather interesting arrangements. Gail ‘shredded’ a Gymea lily leaf keeping the two ends in tack for stability. Several ‘shredded’ lengths were pulled out and then intertwined through loops that had intertwined naturally. A stem of Chrysanthemums brings colour to the work

Gail
Small variegated Gymea leaves are mixed with New Zealand Rock Lily leaves for changes in shape and surfaces. A single Tulip peeks out the top for a focal point. Great work again this week Gail, your style is developing into something special

Gail
Red and green the usual choice for contrasting colours, Gail curled a Gymea lily leaf into a sculptural form with dark red Asters as the contrast. To strengthen the red a bright red container helps overpower the strength of the lily leaf

Gail
Striping back a Gymea lily leaf Gail removed the hard spine of the leaf which in turn she used a the straight element in the work. Being totally unpredictable part of the straight stem pieces through the other to change the direction of the line and the softer section creates the curves
