tunnel_under_m2_20231105-1-1800x1200
A sample photo from my Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max -- the closest thing I have to an up-to-date digital camera (announced - I think - September 2022 or thereabouts, anyway).
[I just realised - duh! - that all the digital cameras I use are really old, except for my iPhone (and even that's now been superseded).]
I bought mine "right away" (ie. via pre-order, in late 2022) because my old iPhone 7plus was getting quite long in the tooth.
Note that I have to ride my bicycle through this if I want to get anywhere. Quite obviously, rain can impede that!

A sample shot from my IXUS 80 IS (announced January 2008).
[I just realised - duh! - that all the digital cameras I use are really old, except for my iPhone (and even that's now been superseded).]
I bought mine some time around late 2009 since I'd lost my old IXUS 40 (or maybe it had broken?) and wanted a pocket camera which still had an optical finder, no matter how small and pokey.
It doesn't get used much any more (since I bought an SX620 HS to carry in my bum-bag while riding my bicycle) - except for "around the house" utility shots like this one.
I'll also confess to liking watches - without anything like the budget to be "a collector".
cheltenham_station_october_2023-1-1800x1200
Just a quick photo, taken at my local railway station while heading to Sunday lunch with "The Usual Suspects" (we solve all the problems of the world, if the world would only listen).
The lens used was really a Leitz (Leica) Summaron 35mm/f3.5 @ f3.5 (having re-tried myself with most of my 50mm Leica-mount lenses, I'm running through my fewer number of 35mm lenses).
bike_and_blockage-1bw-1800x1200
Just a quick photo, taken while trying to ride my bike to the local shops. It was a bit of an obstacle course today, after the tunnel under the M2 flooded through heavy rain over Wednesday/Thursday.
This was taken with my old G1X camera because I don't want to bounce a more valuable camera around the bottom of my bike pannier.
I'm playing with conversion to black and white because I'm contemplating a black and white only digital camera. I've reached no conclusions as yet. However, I think this one might well be better in colour. Still, I persist.

cheltenham_construction-1-1800x1200
Just a quick photo, of some construction work a few doors down from me. The bloke walking towards me wanted to know what I was doing and why - "taking a photo of construction work on my street, so I'll have some work in progress shots". He was OK with that and we had a pleasant-enough chat.

Lens used was really a Konica M-Hexanon 50mm f2.0
